Faith Formation Classes have begun!
If you have not yet had the opportunity to register
your child there is still time.
We offer faith formation class for all children in grades
Pre-School (age 4 by August 22) thru grades 12.
Please call the Faith Formation Office if you have any
questions.
Catholic CDs – The August CD from Light House Media is
available in the back of church and Faith Formation Center.
You will find a small display of some Catholic CDs by
Light House Media.
These CDs are a gift from a parishioner.
They are great for continued Faith Formation and can
easily be slipped into your car cd player or listen at home.
These cds will be updated from time to time and are a
gift to you or when you are finished bring it back and let
someone else benefit from it.

Monday Morning Bible Study – “Revelation: The Lamb and the
Beasts” – Our Monday Morning Bible Study will not meet this
Monday. Our next
class will be on Monday, September 20th.
All adults are welcome to join us at anytime!
Catechumenate Process (RCIA) – On Wednesday, September 15th
at 7:00 p.m. in the
Faith Formation Center
we will begin our journey with those who would like to find out
more about the Catholic faith and those interested in becoming
Catholic. This
process is called the Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults.
We will meet on Wednesday evenings 7:00 – 8:30 p.m.
If you or someone you know is interested please contact
the Faith Formation Office.
Men’s Group Gathering – The Men’s group will meet on Sunday,
September 12th at 7:00 p.m. in the
Faith
Formation
Center.
All men of the parish are welcome to join us!

RCIA
- The weekly Rite of
Christian Initiation sessions meet on Wednesday evenings at
7:00 p.m. in the parish hall.

Youth News:
The
Pope’s Web Page!
The Vatican’s newest webpage is
designed to bring Pope Benedict’s messages to the youth of the
world. Check it out

Jr.
High Jamboree will be on Saturday, September 18th
for anyone in grades 6-8 at St. Mary in Lanesville.
We will meet here at St. Michael’s at 12:45 p.m. and
should return by 10:00 p.m.
The keynote speaker will be Sarah Bauer who is a
nationally known Catholic musician and speaker who inspires and
challenges young Catholics through her music.
There will also be great breakout sessions, games, and a
dance. The cost of
the day is $25.00, which includes the cost of the jamboree, a
t-shirt, and pizza for supper.
The deadline to sign up is Wednesday, September 8th.
Youth Activities Team – We are presently forming the Youth
Activities Team for the coming year.
All high school youth in grades 9-12 are invited to be a
part of the team that is responsible for planning many of the
youth ministry activities that are held.
If you would like to be a part of the team please contact
John in the Faith Formation Office.
Our first meeting will be Sunday, September 12th
at 7:00 p.m. in the Faith Formation
Center.
Young Adult News:
Marriage 101 -
So you popped the big question and she said, “Yes!” Now
what? The New Albany Deanery is hosting a Marriage 101 day of
reflection at Mt. St. Francis
at 8 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 18. This all-day marriage
preparation event is designed to help engaged couples learn the
tools and skills needed to build a happy, life-long
